Available label substrates include paper, plastic, film, vinyl, foil and more. ID Technology Label Printer Applicators use a thermal transfer printing process to produce high quality crisp barcodes, text and graphics. Application methods include: Blow-On, Tamp, Tamp-Blow, Electric Tamp, Swing-Arm Tamp, Corner-Wrap, Smart Tamp, Dual-Panel Tamp and Wipe-On options. The Model 250 Label Printer Applicator can also be integrated into complete turn-key systems. ID Technology offers a line of moderately priced label applicators as either fully automatic in-line units or semi-automatic labeling systems. These units are solidly built with microprocessor controls and stepper drive motors that can achieve speeds up to 1100". These industrial label applicators are designed to handle a wide assortment of label shapes and sizes and they can be oriented for side, top or bottom labeling. Automatic applicators can be fitted with wrap belt assemblies (for cylindrical products), conveyors and other custom product handling devices. The table top wrap system is fully adjustable and accommodates products from .5" to 6" in diameter with a 10" label length capacity. The semi-automatic tamp applicator can apply up to a 4.5" x 6" label on any size product.

But the uses for RFID to identify "tagged" items as they move through the supply chain, are varied and one solution does not fit all needs. ID Technology offers multiple solutions to help you achieve the greatest ROI whether you need to meet basic retailer compliance or want to exploit the benefits of RFID throughout your manufacturing process. The ID Technology Model 150 Label Applicator is ideal for applying pressure sensitive RFID tags to cases, cartons or individual products. These tags can be pre-encoded or can be encoded later in the packaging process, after application. A unique angled U-arm allows easy positioning of the applicator head to the product for top, bottom and side applications. By all accounts RFID and barcoding will coexist for the foreseeable future. New RFID label printer applicators combine these two technologies for the best of both worlds. These printers are able to print barcodes, human-readable text, and graphics on the surface of a label and then encode the RFID chip embedded as part of the label. The ID Technology Model 250r is designed to read, write, verify and apply RFID tags in top, bottom and side label applications all as one seamless process. Tags that fail to read can be discarded prior to application without disrupting product flow. The Model 250r features the same rugged design and modular configuration as the original IDT 250 Series printer applicator, as well as, "hot swap" spare assemblies that install in minutes. ID Technology offers a choice of Zebra, Sato and Datamax RFID print engines. The result is an RFID enabled printer applicator that adapts to your production environment. Because of its unique modular design a standard Model 250 Printer Applicator can be easily upgraded for RFID applications by simply swapping the standard print engine with an RFID print engine. ID Technology has also developed an innovative approach for companies needing to automate their labeling processes today, but with an eye towards variable information print and apply in the future. The Model 250a, a Model 250 integrated with an "Apply-Only" Module, in place of a print engine, offers all the benefits and features of the industry's leading printer applicator but as an automatic label applicator. The apply-only module is designed to emulate a Sato print engine and has selectable dispense speeds of 4", 6", 8", 10", 12" per second. This unit can accommodate up to a 7" wide label and can also be used with pre-encoded RFID tags. A large, high tack drive roller prevents label slipping and ensures precise label dispensing, even at high speeds. The apply-only module is fully compatible with all Model 250 application options and electronics, pneumatic and rewind modules. For ultimate flexibility the apply-only module can be easily swapped out for a Sato, Zebra or Datamax print engine or RFID print engine.
