AFR - Automatic Film Replacement System

Orion's innovative Automatic Film Replacement System is designed for high throughput automated stretch packaging operations where operators are not present most of the time.

The AFR (automatic film replacement) will hold 6 rolls of stretch film, enough for the stretch wrapping machine to function for an entire shift in most situations. The film roll removal and threading mechanism has been designed to handle a variety of stretch films from various manufacturers. The magazine of the AFR stretch film machine holds 6 rolls at a time.

The film rolls can be loaded from a protected operator area while the stretch wrapping machine is in operation. Fresh rolls of stretch film are loaded and threaded through the Insta-Thread with an ingenious and highly reliable system.

Bale Manipulator

For applications involving bale product (i.e. cloth, hay, etc.) in which total encapsulation is desired, Orion's combination manipulator/stretchwrapper system provides the ability to stretchwrap your product for 6 sided coverage by hydraulically lifting and rotating the product 90 degrees after the first wrap cycle.

Thus, positioning the still uncovered sides for wrapping during the second wrap cycle. No need to sever the film web between cycles! The operator simply attaches the film, wraps the load, manually lifts and rotates the product, then starts the second wrap cycle. Orion's hydraulic manipulator can be applied to any semi-automatic rotary turntable system.

RW-44 - Roll Wrapper

Orion's RW-44 is a heavy-duty semi-automatic wrapping system designed to stretch wrap roll product by turning the roll on steel blocking rollers while spinning the product on a 14 RPM turntable. This creates a "cocoon" wrap pattern and provides complete protection and unitization of the roll. Maximum load size is 60" Diameter x 65" Length. Maximum load weight is 6,000 pounds.

The turntable is held in place by a pneumatically operated shaft which engages a steel detent assembly. This assures that the turntable will remain stationary during loading and unloading. Turntable support provided by an industrial grade ring bearing for maximum reliability.

The frame is constructed 100% structural steel and is forklift portable from the front or the rear of the machine. These bearings, as well as all other major components on the RW-44, are easily accessed for fast service and maintenance.

HCP-56 - Stretch Wrapper with Conveyorized Turntable

Orion's HCP and HCG give users the ability to incorporate a semi-automatic stretch wrapper into an existing conveyor line, or add gravity and accumulating conveyors for faster processing of loads. The HCP-56 is built on the H-66 frame yet incorporates the heavy-duty turntable components of Orion's FA Series.
